State of Emergency extended

What is the change?

The Senegalese government recently extended the State of Emergency to May 3, 2020 to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Effective from April 5, the extension covers the following measures.

Key points

The recent extension maintains measures implemented by the original State of Emergency declaration which was made on March 23.

The new extension will impact the movement of people into Senegal. Employers should account for affected travelers and rearrange travel schedules accordingly. Significant delays may occur for consular and in-country processing.
